This artist for Beautiful Beaches!
This little 6x6" painting (oil on panel) is my after-weaving painting for today. It is from my trip to Maine last fall. I have painted, sketched, and photographed beautiful, clean beaches on both coasts, and I firmly believe that BP, and anyone else who works in our coastal waters, MUST fix what they break, and clean up what they dirty. We should be able to expect to find beauty on our shores.
Do you hear me, BP? As 'Oscar Rogers' of SNL says, "Fix it! Fix it! Fix it!"

You're 100% right. Love Booker and Gus.
I agree with you that oil companies must clean up, but it isn't just their problem. The world needs to embrace alternate technologies so we can stop using the oil product. It is everyones problem.
A beautiful painting!
Amen to your words.
I love the child...a reminder that we need to fix this thing for good - not just for now!
Thanks, all. And you're right, Evelyn, we all must become more aware of how we contribute to the problem of oil greed. But I think holding BP responsible in a big way, too, might make a repeat less likely.
Great comments kate and beautiful painting!
A beautiful and thought provoking image.
