Progress...
Progress is slow, but it's still progress! I am now at about where I had hoped to be at the end of last week. The new red marks along the side of the cartoon are where I hope to end up before the week is over. I am getting some weaving done everyday, but not as much as I'd like.
The spring mud season is here, much to Booker's delight. I feel like I'm mopping the finish off the floors, so I don't let him outside as much as he would like to be. After being out just a half-hour the other day, and he came in covered with mud, from head to paw! He must have wallowed in it. He just looks more wet in the photo, but take my word for it, it's all mud. See his 'so what are you going to do about it?' look? Fortunately (or not, depending on how you look at it) the mud just falls off him as he dries, and he is as 'good as new' again. But my floors! Oh, my poor floors!

Luckily, our mud season is passing. The snow is almost gone, but we have rain on the way. Our dog has learned to stop at the mud room for a foot inspection to be followed by a thorough wipe or an escort to the guest shower where she endures a leg wash. Luckily she doesn't wallow. Good luck with the mud.

Yes, we have always wiped the paws at the door, too. But so far, Booker just thinks that is a take-away-the-rag game. We're working on it, and I've put a path of rugs from the back door through the entry, but his all-over mud goes far beyond their reach.
My, he has grown into a fine young man!
Phoebus has a talent for rolling in things too, especially the oil under our neighbour's motorbike... He is supposed to be a ginger and white cat but more often than not he comes home a ginger and grey cat.
Loving the tulips, Kathy! If only spring would actually return--even the jonquils are having a tough time deciding to bloom here in north Georgia--late for them this year, although some are peeking their little yellow faces out. Dreary, gray and wet today, though. :((
The March piece is coming along nicely!!! It is looking link flowers and not a group of abstract organic shapes!
I am coming to understand the beauty of the lab coat that simply dries and allows the dirt to come off. It is a good thing, but where it falls is the other. I've just found the floors are easier to clean than the dog - he's at 100 pounds now!
I am still seeing mostly abstract shapes, but have decided that's OK, because that's what I see on the maquette in that area, too. So I'm keeping on going!
