I received this image of my 'August' tapestry in the ATB9 exhibit from the gallery in Fort Wayne, IN. It is in very good company: Archie Brennan's piece is on the far left, with one of Joanne Sanburg's marvelous women in the middle, and Janet Austin's lovely piece below mine. Janet and I 'hung together' in the ATB8 exhibit, as well. We must make compatible works, or maybe the sizes of our current tapestries just make them easy to hang 'stacked' like this.
It was very nice of the gallery to send me the photo of my tapestry hanging, as they are shipping the works to come back home. I confess that I am somewhat amused by it though. It is as if they want to prove that they actually did hang the work, after the horror that some of you may remember of discovering that these pieces, and a number of others, had not been hung at the beginning of the exhibit. It all worked out in the end, though, as it usually does. One of my favorite quotes is from the movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, when the young hotel owner keeps saying, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.” (The quote is also attributed to John Lennon.) Anyway, this exhibit is proof that it is true; by the end, everything was okay.

BTW, the image of your stolen tapestry was stolen too (unless they asked your permission, of course)! :-( It's used on this page, as a flash card for"small boat"

I just LOVE your tapestry of Booker. One day I am going to attempt one of our dog. I have certainly taken plenty of photos of her in the water. And our river is famous for its brown water, so I feel inspired by your work.
I was telling someone about it recently, and how much I love it. She told me how hard it is to do justice to patterns in the water, so congratulations again.
Isn't it amazing how people find things out on the internet. I hope you get your due recognition for the stolen tapestry and it;s photo.
Elena, thank you for bringing the borrowed image to my attention. The administrators at Quizlet.com were very cooperative in removing the image. They are aware of copyright laws and do not want to infringe on them.
