Sour (Illustration Friday)...

For the Illustration Friday topic of "Sour" this week, I have posted the small oil painting of my little Chinatown cup and lemons. I'm also posting another digitally played with view of the same still-life. I did this as a maquette for a small, yet-to-be-woven tapestry.
I have recently been told I am not to eat citrus by my physician. These pieces make my mouth water!!!

Really stunning piece! I'm sorry you can have citrus. I really enjoy oranges and grapefruits! At least you can enjoy them as art subjects :)

Oh, this is very nice. You are a very good artist. I love the green and orange reflections and shadows on the lemons. Blue and yellow always makes a lovely painting.

This is a beautiful painting, it would be superb as a tapestry. You sound like you had a wonderful time with your grandchildren. I love the doll that you made for Katie.
