Hung...

The Blue Pig Gallery has given me a second space for November and December, to hang some tapestries. Is the phrase 'breaking through the glass ceiling' appropriate? This is the first time fiber has been allowed in the gallery. I don't have room for a lot of work, but the gallery theme for the two months is 'little piggies' (as in miniature work), so I have put smaller pieces in. And at extremely modest prices, I must say, so as to not discourage the gallery from having fiber again.

This is my painting space, with all my miniatures (all under 8x10"). It looks pretty crowded to me, but, hopefully it will thin out a bit before the show is over!

Good luck with bursting through that glass ceiling! Both display areas look great. Congrats!

I'm sure it will be thinning quite a bit. The displays look great and I know I could make some holes if I had the chance. :-)
Congrats!

I hope you fly through that glass ceiling - like the glass elevator in Willy Wonka!

I love seeing tapestries in a show space next to paintings! Is the Wooster tapestry really for sale? (Yes, I am the follower who is the dog nut!) :)
As a beginning tapestry weaver I am so inspired by this blog...the posts that so generously show how you work have really demystified some things for me!

Suzy, the Wooster tapestry is not for sale. The tag by it says that I accept commissions. Thanks for your encouraging comments!

I am so happy to hear that Wooster's tapestry is a NFS!
I was afraid that I was going to have to buy it and send it back to you! haha! I often go back the posts about working on his tapestry. I have a few cartoons designed of my beloved greyhound boy who recently passed, and for now, I'm not up to tackling them yet.
But, seeing Wooster's tapestry encourages me! :)
Have a great showing, and may you sell many pieces.

String Theory

Ok, I don’t know anything about string theory, except maybe what I see on The Big Bang. But there is an excellent fiber exhibit right now ...
