As the world spun madly on, she secreted herself away and did what she needed to do: create.The topic for IF this week is Clandestine. Hmmmm. I have been so busy of late, I didn't even get around to thinking about it until today, but decided to post this watercolor even though it is no longer Friday. It looks clandestine to me, at any rate. But what do I know about clandestine anyway, being, as I am, an above-board sort of gal?

NYDAY 10:26am......since we are in the very basic day of the new year, I'd like to ask you a very basic tapestry question.....when you are inside your very complicated designs, your bobbins must get "out of order".....not fitting in the over/under pattern....so what do you do?????...do you wrap a warp where the problem is and have to rewrap the next time you return or do you use pigtails...or what exactly do you do?????...from Cold and Sometimes Bobbin Confused on the East Coast (Janet--a Wooster fan)

Janet, I am a stickler for keeping all my bobbins or butterflies going in opposite directions. When I add a new color, I either change directions of some of the other bobbins, or I add an extra bobbin (ie. I'll have two bobbins going of one color in an area), so that they will all be going in opposite directions. When they meet, going in opposite directions, you don't have that problem at the 'meet-up' warp. It sometimes feels a pain to do this, but is worth it to avoid confusion. Try it!
The mood is very engaging. Sometimes it feels like I am stealing away to spend time with my creative self. She looks as thought she is grasping the moment, the space, the only opportunity she has to paint.
