Seed: Illustration Friday

This is an early tapestry of mine, called "Faith." It is based on the scripture; Matthew 17:20
(New American Standard Bible)
And He said to them, "... for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."

Amazingly, the state of Colorado purchased this tapestry. It is in their (our?) collection, and it hangs somewhere in the personnel division of the State Building in Denver.

This is really, really beautiful! I love the vibrant colors against the dark. Very striking image.

Lovely! and has given me a reason to go see the art at the capitol. I'll send a pic when I find it.

I hear the city would like more fiber arts, are you listed on CaFE?
as that is where they generally post their searches.

Thanks - for the link (used to be listed, but need to re-list), and it would be great to have a photo of the tapestry onsite. It's been there quite a while, and I've not gone to visit it. I should do that, but am afraid I'll find it in a men's room or a supply closet. 8-)

String Theory

Ok, I don’t know anything about string theory, except maybe what I see on The Big Bang. But there is an excellent fiber exhibit right now ...
