New family member...

We went to Utah today and brought home a new 'baby.' He's a real sweetie! He is an 8-week old English Golden retriever. We don't have a name for him yet, though we're working on it. He and Gussie are very curious about each other, and I don't think it will take them long to become playmates and buddies.

Losing Wooster was very hard for us, and we had to think hard about getting another dog this soon. But we discovered that we are just people who feel like a house is not a home without a dog in it. (A cat is just an added bonus.) So welcome back, dog hair! All of my black clothes and my wood floors have missed you!

Hi Kathy, they are the most beautiful dogs. Fabulous temperament, we have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and I don't know how such a small dog can loose so much fur! Coen has to brush down his bed every day. Debbie.

Kathy: We got a puppy last year a month after losing our Opus pooch... VERY glad we did... she helped with the healing process in strange ways...

Definitely don't let the cat see your blog as you KNOW they think they are the boss/leader, etc... :)

A time to share, and to refrain from sharing…

After the Open Studio Tour was over, we went for a short trip to Mt. Rushmore. I had never been there, though my husband had seen it several...
